Gloria and Leo - 7.03.10

Gloria and Leo's wedding was the first latino wedding that I've photographed, and I LOVED participating in their celebration. Aside from the fact that I got to practice my Spanish, which I'm always looking for opportunities to do, I loved watching Gloria's friends and family each contribute to the beauty of the day. I also got to learn a few new wedding customs. You'll notice a photo with a cross hanging in between Gloria and Leo's hands. This long rosary (I think) symbolized how Gloria and Leo were joining their lives, and they kept this around them throughout the ceremony. What a beautiful reminder of the fact that two are now becoming one!

Ginny and Eddie - 6.13.10

Ginny was my 6th grade math teacher. Then, I was her babysitter. Next, she was my ride to high school. By that point, she was also my best friend! I was so excited to have the honor of photographing (and doing a reading) for her wedding. She and Eddie both have awesome kids, and there families fit together perfectly!

Ashley & Michael's Engagment Session

I love taking day trips to the quaint town of Staunton, VA, so when Ashley suggested this as the spot for her engagement session, I was thrilled. The pictures are great, and after the session, my husband and I found out that Shenandoah's Pizza has the best crust (whole wheat sunflower Parmesan) that I've ever had. Thanks for a great afternoon, Ashley and Michael! Can't wait for your wedding :)
