Friendship Session at Ivy Creek

Last week, I had the pleasure of getting together with an awesome group of girls to do a friendship session before they all head off to college post their high school graduation.  What a fun way to celebrate the friendships they've formed in high school while celebrating this new step in their lives!  Check out some of my favorite images :)

Christina and Samba {Wedding - 7.7.12}

If you've followed my blog much, you know that I love a UVa wedding, so you can imagine my shock when Christina, in specifying what she was hoping for in her wedding photography, told me that she (gasp) didn't like the UVa grounds much!  BUT, I think we were able to use some beautiful, less stereotyped space in the garden where she and Samba were wed, and the photos really illuminate how happy this couple was to be getting married.  The sincerity of their affection meant that I did little to no coaching during their portraits, and we just had a great time!

For the reception, we headed over to The Space for an intimate, candlelit reception.  The fabulous DJ atmosphere and rockin' music were thanks to one of my favorites - T.D. Layman of Sound Enforcement DJ Service.
