As you may know, I went to India on a missions trip with Blue Ridge Community Church from January 8-17. We had a great team, eight people split evenly - four girls and four guys. While there, we ministered to a group of people called the Yenadi in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Our team had the pleasure of participating in baptisms, church dedications, a pastor's conference, and teachings in local churches. Below are a few photos from my time there!
On a side note, at the recommendation of a close friend, I didn't take my SLR camera. All of these photos were taken with my Canon Powershot S90, which I've been very please with!
The first set of photos are from the first church that I went to while in Andhra Pradesh. The sweetness of the people and their worship brought tears to my eyes, and participating in the baptism was a great joy!
These next photos are from the orphanage where are team was staying. I took them all from the balcony on the third floor, looking out over the city.
Participating in the pastor's conference was awesome. Here are photos of the pastors lining up to go into the church, the church itself, some food preparation, part of the team leading worship, and other faces from the conference.
On one of our trips out to a church, we happened upon this beautiful lake and one of the most peaceful scenes I've ever experienced. The photos from the people in this church are some of my favorite, and I LOVED the cool plates we got to eat off (that's the photo of leaves sown together).
More photos will be coming soon in a second post!

Oh No! My website has dissapeared!
It would be in the week that my husband is on a missions trip to Haiti and just days before I leave for a missions trip in India that my website domain would expire! My husband is the one who takes care of that side of my business, so hopefully we'll have that up and working by next week, when he gets home.
In the meantime, if you would like to get more information regarding your upcoming portrait session or event, feel free to email me at celestialsights@gmail.com. I will have limited Internet access while in India, and I will respond to you as quickly as I can!

Katie and Mike's Wedding
I'm so excited to share my photos of Katie and Mike's wedding with you today. Katie and Mike had their ceremony and reception at the Old Trail Golf Club in Crozet, Virginia. While they had originally planned on an outdoor ceremony, the Virginia weather did not cooperate. Instead, they had a lovely ceremony indoor. The people at Old Trail did a great job being flexible, and Katie was so relaxed through all of the changes. I felt to honored to be with Katie and Mike to celebrate their marriage.

Lauren and Peter's Wedding
I'm so excited today to be sharing my photos from Lauren and Peter's wedding with you. Lauren and Peter were such a fun couple to work with. Lauren is a teacher, so we had that in common, and the whole time that we were together, I felt as if I was with great friends.
One of my favorite parts of Lauren and Peter's story is the care that Peter took in planning for the proposal. Pay special attention to the photo of Lauren's ring, folks, because Peter actually had a friend teach him how to make ring so that he could personally hand make Lauren's engagement ring. I have to say, it's one of the most beautiful rings I've seen, and Peter's care over that planning makes it all the more special.
Lauren and Peter had their ceremony at UVA and then had their reception at the Stonefire Station in Barboursville, Virginia. Enjoy the photos of their beautiful day!
